Riversdale Athletics Club Celebrates 2024 Graduating Athletes
Congratulations to RIVA’s Grade 12 graduating athletes! We are so proud of our graduating athletes and wish them all the best as they each begin exciting adventures this fall.
Caley Hilderman
Caley graduated from Marian Graham Collegiate. Caley will be attending the University of Saskatchewan in the fall and plans to study Biomedical Science. Caley is planning to run with the Huskies track team. Her favourite RIVA memory was her final Christmas workout with the team.
Yerosen Daba
Yerosen Daba graduated from Holy Cross High School. Yero is attending Harvard University in the fall. He is studying Biomedical Engineering or Molecular and Cellular Biology, with a secondary focus in economics. As for track plans and favourite RIVA memory: “I’m not 100% sure yet what my scenario is with the Harvard track team, still waiting on logistics; most likely will walk on and/or redshirt for the first cross country season to build base and fitness before indoor season while training with the team. My favourite RIVA memory was exploring downtown Montreal after youth nationals with the team last summer. From watching crazy street performances to facing my fear of heights on the Ferris wheel, every second was filled with excitement and laughter.”
Sam Andrew
Sam Andrew graduated from Holy Cross High School. Sam will be studying Recreation and Sport Studies at the University of New Brunswick in the fall. Sam will continue running as a member of the Cross Country and Track team at UNB. Sam’s favourite RIVA memory was getting the chance to compete at Legion Youth Nationals in 2023 in Sherbrooke Quebec in the 2000m steeplechase.
Annie Beveridge-Warick
Annie Beveridge-Warick graduated from Aden Bowman Collegiate. Annie will be attending the University of Saskatchewan in the fall and is in the College of Kinesiology. About her future plans and favourite RIVA memory: “I will be training with the Huskies endurance group and I plan to stay involved in the running community for as long as possible! My favourite RIVA memory is staying in an Airbnb in Sherwood Park and taking group ice baths with the kiddie pool that RossAnn brought.”
